Little Gosling
/Once upon a time a downy little chick crawled out of its egg into the big big world - and was greeted by mommy Duck....., it took a little while to find some balance and stay upright on its orange little legs.... Mommy Duck got busy pointing out all sorts of things to eat as she would wag her tail furiously and showed little chick tasty worms and spiders..... but little chick did not like to eat worms and spiders and started feeling weak......
Then three magnificent creatures appeared out of nowhere and they were chatting and chattering and stretching their long necks and nuzzling with their beaks...... here they said, eat this, and pecked at the grass and other little green things all around.....
Mommy Duck was not at all pleased with these big creatures hanging around but little chick was sure glad they stayed...
Mommy Duck did lots of talking, and lots of walking but the magnificent three seemed to know just when to eat, sleep, and where to go for the good stuff...... Mommy said, don't mind them - they are geese..... stay with me while I try to hatch another egg.... finally she decided to hang with them too, making it easier to get around and eat lots of good stuff....
Could it be..... Could it be, thought little chick..... that I am a gosling?
